Position Summary

Work closely with VP, Finance and Corporate Controller to assure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. This role will provide support to management through information analysis (e.g. actual performance vs. budget and prior year, forecasting, etc.) and preparation of operational data/analysis for publication to various constituents throughout company who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions.

Essential Position Functions

• Manage annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
• Report on seasonal, weekly, and monthly sales, internal KPI reports, and perform variance analysis
• Consolidate and report on manufacturing KPI’s and cost of sales variances
• Lead on new and recurring business contract renewals with schools to ensure profitability alongside VP of Engagement and Growth
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed
• Other duties as needed or required

Qualifications

• Data mining and report tool experience with is preferred, but not required (JD Edwards, AS400, NetSuite, Catalyst)
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel is required and essential to the role
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required
• Detail oriented with a knowledge of (GAAP) accounting procedures and financial report practices
• Capable to safeguard sensitive and confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure
• Composure to work independently and can interact with coworkers and management
• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and to work under time pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years finance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  May manage Junior and Senior Analysts
