Summary

Balfour Beatty is in search of a Prequalification Administrator to join our Risk Management team in Dallas, TX. This individual will provide timely and accurate subcontractor prequalification administration for our internal and external customers; procure subcontractors’ prequalification information and ensure compliance with internal prequalification procedures. This information is used to minimize subcontractor default risk, which is an integral to our projects’ success.

Risk Assessment

  • Solicits and analyzes subcontractor prequalification documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure timely procurement and processing of subcontractor documents
  • Resolves issues of non-compliance in regard to subcontractor prequalification submissions
  • Ability to communicate acceptable options to Financial Analyst when exceptions exist.
  • Work as a liaison with divisional preconstruction and project teams in regard to subcontractor prequalification

Manage Customer Interactions

  • Builds effective relationships with pre-construction, operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations
  • Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image

Database / Document Management

  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely databases for use by Operations, Preconstruction, Accounts Payable Accounting and Legal
  • Assist subcontractors and their agents in completing and submitting necessary documents
  • Run various reports and distribute to the proper department and/or divisional leadership
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • The majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing and walking. This is a hybrid role. The individual will work 3 days a week at the office; the other 2 days they'll work from home.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Strong computer skills in word processing, Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, Autodesk and database management systems
  • Experience in construction strongly preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in document proofreading skills
  • Able and willing to face challenges and effectively address conflict
  • Able to use time effectively based on key priorities; pursues work with energy and a need to finish
  • Show personal commitment to improving skills and compensating for weaknesses and limitations
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, it values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
