Baldwin Area Medical Center is Hiring a Patient Access Representative (1.0 FTE) Near Baldwin, WI

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative (1.0 FTE). Responsibilities include:

  • Arranging for the efficient and orderly registration of clinic patients, admissions of inpatients, ER visits and individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
  • Interviewing incoming patients and enters information required for admission into computer database
  • Answers incoming calls through WWH’s call center and makes outbound calls to patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiar with PC based hardware and software programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years related experience
  • 2 insurance knowledge
  • Familiar with electronic medical records
  • Superior customer service

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment

Work schedule:

  • 1.0 FTE – 80 hours per biweekly pay period
  • Every 4th weekend 1pm-9pm
