Balance Grille is an Asian-Fusion Restaurant from Toledo, OH that serves Snacks, Bowls, and Tacos that you'll love! All of our ingredients are prepared from whole form by hand, just in time, every day at each of our restaurants.

Our menu is infinitely customizable, and able to be adapted to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies. Several of our ingredients we grow ourselves at Balance Farms : our Vertical Urban Aquaponics Farm in Downtown Toledo!

WHAT IS A SAMURAI? (Hot Line)

Samurai are responsible for accurately preparing food orders, assembling Build-a-Bowls, Tacos, and Snacks in a timely and precise fashion, mastering skills on the grill and wok, adhering to health codes, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and food line.

Purpose : The Samurai BA acts largely as an asset in the overall success of daily kitchen operations. They to do this by showcasing close attention to detail, embodying a strong work ethic, maintaining open and clear communication and successfully working in a team-based atmosphere.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for accurately preparing food orders in a timely and precise fashion.
  • Masters skills on the grill, wok and other kitchen equipment.
  • Adheres to all health code standards and up-to-date practices.
  • Engages in proper re-stocking and FIFO practices to ensure the freshest and highest-quality product.
  • Stays up to date on current and relevant kitchen processes / practices.
  • Ensures that all food storage units are cleaned properly and stored carefully to prevent breakage.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment, working surfaces, shelving units, coolers, walls and flooring.

WHAT IS A NINJA? (Prep)

Purpose : The Ninja BA supports the generation of sales and overall success of the restaurant by ensuring that the kitchen has quality inventory to create menu items.

They are a vital part of daily operations and promote a strong work ethic, demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and inhabit the ability to get tasks done individually as well as with others in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for preparing all ingredients in menu-items.
  • Develops and masters knife-skills and techniques used to prep produce.
  • Determining product quality.
  • Stays up to date on current and relevant prep processes / practices.
  • Adheres to all health code standards and up-to-date practices.
  • Engages in proper re-stocking and FIFO practices to ensure the freshest and highest-quality product.
  • Receives and organizes produce from vendors in an effective manner.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of prep coolers, working surfaces, shelving units, coolers, walls and flooring.
