Balance Dance Gymnastics is a vibrant, expanding dance and gymnastics studio located in the northern Atlanta suburb of Chamblee. We provide a wide range of classes in recreational gymnastics and tumbling, as well as dance. We seek a dedicated coach to lead our preschool gymnastics program, which has more than 200 students.

Job Description: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about gymnastics, has at least 3 - 5 years coaching experience with ages 1 - 5, and can bring an energetic attitude to our classes. The Lead Preschool Gymnastics Coach is responsible for coaching Mommy and Me classes as well as FUNdamentals of Gymnastics classes for ages 3 - 5. Energy, positivity, and a commitment to a safe and fun learning environment are critical for this role.

Essential Duties:

• Work with Balance’s owner and director of gymnastics to contribute to the growth of the preschool program, including developing lesson plans and monthly themes.
• Coach afternoon and Saturday morning preschool gymnastics classes (ratio of 7:1). Summer camp hours shift the schedule in June and July.
• Support student retention and recruitment efforts.
• Approach each class with a positive, energetic attitude, fostering a fun and engaging learning experience for our students.
• Maintain timely and constructive communication with staff, students, and parents.
• Assist with equipment safety checks and equipment set-up/take down.
• Complete gym opening and closing duties as needed.

Necessary Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• USAG Professional or instructor certified.
• At least 3 years of gymnastics coaching experience.
• A strong knowledge of gymnastics and the physical ability to plan and coach high-quality, recreational gymnastics classes for ages 1 - 5.
• Commitment to creating a positive atmosphere that combines hard work with fun and supports our mission to build confidence in children through recreational gymnastics.
• First Aid and CPR certified, or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Compensation:

Compensation will depend on experience and will begin at $25 per hour. Balance provides a total compensation package that includes a competitive hourly rate, worker’s compensation insurance, general liability insurance, paid memberships and trainings within USA Gymnastics, and bonuses linked to key performance indicators.
