Changing someone’s life can also change your own. When a Direct Support Professional joins the Balance Autism team as an Autism Associate, they are not only jumping into an exciting career, but they’re also touching the lives of the children they work with daily.

In this role, you would be inspiring personal growth, teaching self-care, and encouraging development of social skills. Some tasks include, but are not limited to bathing, cleaning, cooking, and engaging youth in daily plan goals. Youth Home Autism Associates primarily work with youth aged 9-17 years old.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Pass pre-employment TB test, motor vehicle report, and criminal background checks

We currently have Full-time and Part-time opportunities available in the following shifts:

Located in Altoona, Iowa

1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:00PM

2nd Shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM
