Position is responsible for supporting a variety of production and non-production products and services. Generating MRO Purchase Orders in E1 based off requisitions entered by Bal Seal employees. Tracks purchases. Requests RFQ's (Request for Quotes). Responds to internal and external correspondence via email, in person or phone.

Procures MRO (Maintenance, Repairs, Operations) and non-Production related Purchase Orders
• Validates purchase order confirmations
• Negotiates pricing and expedites purchase orders upon approval
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with suppliers
• Resolves invoice discrepancies and other documentation problems
• Resolves issues with rejections, certifications, and delivery commitments
• Processes purchasing requisitions through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Expedites delivery of critical parts for production
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education:

• No related experience required, Minimum 1 year experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Experience:

• No experience in procuring raw materials in a manufacturing environment required, 1 year experience preferred
• Supporting production control, inventory, stockroom, and shipping and receiving functions
• Experience in ERP/MRP and how to respond
• Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment

• Strong computer literacy (MS Office)
• Strong Interpersonal Skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• E1 experience a plus
