Requirements:

• Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel or veterinary setting
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including proper handling techniques
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
• Ability to safely handle a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and equine species
• Experience with animal catheterization is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Applicants must be able to pass screening in order to attain necessary security clearance.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in the facility
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, and cleaning enclosures
- Handle and restrain animals safely and securely
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with animal handling and restraint during procedures and examinations
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, treatments, and observations
- Assist with training and socialization of animals
- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, equipment, and work areas
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
