Baker & Taylor Publisher Services is Hiring a Receptionist/Accounting Clerk 8:30am-4:30pm Near Ashland, OH
The Receptionist/Accounting Clerk handles accounting duties delegated by the Accounting Manager. Works in conjunction with all financial, sales, and client services staff. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the customer support and collections aspects of assigned publishers and clients along with answering and directing incoming phone calls for Baker and Taylor Publisher Services. Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares and posts payments to accounts receivable on a daily basis (check, cash, credit card, ACH or wire).
Answer internal and external customer service calls.
Collect past due accounts. Includes research, email, calls, and provides any data as requested to assist in collection efforts.
Submit uncollectable accounts to collection agency.
Enter miscellaneous charges prior to the month end.
Assist with month end closing process.
Work on special projects and assist in departments where needed, when available.
Make outbound calls and emails to delinquent accounts.
Responible for answering customer/vendor inquiries pertaining to invoices, discrepancies, statement copies etc..
Answering phones and move incoming class to correct recipient.
Follow BTPS safety guidelines.
Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Excellent customer service skills- both with team members and clients, in person, by phone, and by written correspondence.
Ability to problem solve and resolve issues timely.
Must possess solid reading and comprehension skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to use Microsoft Office, Accuterm, Macola, Microsoft NAV, Cloud/Online Business Applications.
Ability to use office equipment such as multi-line phones, copier, fax, and printer.

Education and Experience:
2-year degree in Business/Accounting, or equivalent experience required.
