In this role, The Product Development Engineer- Digital, will work with the digital team and product development to improve Gemini customer experience
As a Product Development Engineer- Digital, you will be responsible for:
  • Working on projects to develop new products and solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Discussing technical subjects internally and externally to resolve product issues.
  • Managing and prioritizing overall product backlog including defect backlog/bugs, reported defects and product enhancements.
  • Managing technical support cases ensuring that they are appropriately prioritized, communicated and resolved as per commitment
  • Identifying gaps in products, recommending enhancements and engaging with product line management team to prioritize these requirements
  • Engaging with internal customers and ensuring that team resources are working on the highest priority items
  • Owning product security and reliability
  • Acting as the project manager for the larger defects/backlog items being worked to ensure they are executed on time
  • Planning and executing on assignments with general objectives.
  • Recommending changes in procedures.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • 5 years experience in design or manufacturing or application engineer in oil/gas industry
  • 5-10 years experience working in Drill Bits is preferred.
  • 3 years' experience in a professional setting
  • Oilfield drill bit knowledge - roller cone, fixed cutter and hybrid preferred
  • knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and Software Design Patterns preferred
  • Cloud Experience (Azure, AWS), Containerized solutions (Docker) preferred
  • SQL Database such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc. preferred
