Landscape Worker
Job Summary:The Landscape Worker will perform landscaping and related services required to maintain safe and attractive grounds.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Use a variety of tools such as shovels, rakes, or wheelbarrows to complete assignments.
- Operate power equipment such as sod stripper, bed edger, rototiller, compactor, and a variety of other power hand tools.
- Install plant material, mulch, and rock and boulders.
- Install and maintain specialty features such as paver patios or retaining walls
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping practices and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Thorough understanding of how to care for various types of plants and hardscapes.
- Ability to operate various types of landscaping power equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
- On-the-job training offered
- Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be physically able to operate heavy equipment and power tools.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
