Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs specifically tailored to baseball athletes, considering individual needs and performance goals.
  • Conduct biomechanical analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury.
  • Provide expert coaching and guidance to athletes during training sessions, focusing on proper technique, intensity, and progression.
  • Collaborate with other members of the performance team to deliver integrated training programs.
  • Monitor and track athletes' progress, utilizing performance metrics and testing protocols to evaluate their development and adjust training programs accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in strength and conditioning methodologies, sports science research, and technology to continuously innovate and enhance training programs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive training environment, building strong relationships with athletes and effectively communicating with them and their support network.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized strength and conditioning organization (e.g., CSCS, NSCA, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for baseball athletes.
  • In-depth understanding of baseball-specific movement patterns, biomechanics, and performance demands.
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention strategies and the ability to effectively apply corrective exercises.
  • Excellent coaching skills, with the ability to motivate athletes and provide constructive feedback.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology and software for data tracking and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and establish trust with athletes and their support network.
