The Opportunity:

The Technology Support Analyst is a key member of the Bailard, Inc. information technology (IT) team and is an integral position for the organization. This role focuses on assisting all Bailard, Inc. employees with technological support for all locations. This individual will provide technical assistance for simplistic and complex user support needs through the maintenance of company provided computers/laptops, company approved mobile devices, and network devices and computers peripherals in the organization. Additional responsibilities include support for IT related projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a passionate self-starter with a growth oriented mindset and has a passion for continuous development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and connectivity via in person in the office, phone, email, chat, and remote assistance.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for mobile hardware, software, and services via in office, phone, email, chat.
  • Coordinate workstation and employee onboarding/offboarding activity including workstation setup and deployment or decommission and disposition during offboarding.
  • Make occasional remote home support visits as necessary.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of support documentation including knowledge base articles, FAQs, and other relevant information.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and mobile operating systems and applications.
  • Stay current on product enhancements, new features, and industry trends to provide proactive support and deliver exceptional service and client experience.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Participate in solution testing and validation activities to ensure the quality and reliability of hardware, software, and services.
  • Review security logs and alerts to identify, resolve, or escalate incidents.
  • Monitor and ensure reported application and operating system vulnerabilities are promptly remediated.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years work experience in a prior technical support role.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and tools (Intune, Defender, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange, Office).
  • Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure management.
  • Experience in managing and securing Azure Domain Service/Azure Active Directory, including Group Policy.
  • Experience with cloud telephony systems (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
  • Proficient in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automating routine tasks.
  • Strong understanding of software, hardware, and networking concepts.
  • Awareness and understanding of cybersecurity risks with some knowledge of remediation techniques and security measures.
  • Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to stay current with technological developments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within financial services or investment management industry.
  • Knowledge of applications including: PowerBI, or PowerAutomate.
  • Experience with Autopilot deployment setup and configuration.

Where you’ll be:

  • This position will be onsite and based in our Foster City location. There will be travel to our San Francisco office as required.
