TITLE: Tissue Registry Clerk
LOCATION: Rochester, MN – Onsite
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p; some flexibility offered.
PAY: $18.00 - $21.00 Hour DOE
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUMMARY: The Tissue Registry Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and processing duties that include filing of tissue (fresh and formalin fixed), glass slides, and paraffin blocks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining supply inventory, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning.
- Handle fresh and formalin fixed tissue, organs, and amputations for archival purposes.
- Accurately read specimen labels and work with numbers to prevent mislabeling.
- Ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling hazardous chemicals and infectious agents.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-2 years of medical experience is preferred, but not required.
