TITLE:  Speech Language Pathologist 

LOCATION: West Jordan, UT

SCHEDULE: Day Shift | 8/HR days

PAY:  $40.00 - $55.00 Hour DOE

This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt 

SUMMARY: Continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient.
2. Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profile within time standards per department protocol.
3. Performs a variety of therapeutic interventions including but not limited swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.
4. Establishes appropriate treatment plan with measurable and attainable goals and time frames by collaborating with patient, family and other members of the health care team including discharge planning.
5. Selects and implements therapy activities per protocol including instructions; selects and revises therapy materials, equipment, and activities to ensure that patient, family, and therapy goals are met.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. Master's degree in speech-language therapy
2. Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
3. Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Utah (SLP)
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
5. Two years of work experience
6. Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
