Bahama Consulting is Hiring a Medical Records Near Wheat Ridge, CO
TITLE: Medical Records
LOCATION: Wheat Ridge, CO (Onsite)
STATUS: Full-Time – Contract
SCHEDULE: Day shift
PAY RANGE: $16.50 - $21.50 per hour DOQ
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Overtime paid at 1.5X regular rate of pay)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive boxes on pallets and sort by clinic. Approximately three truck loads/quarter.
- The boxes will need to be inventoried down to the individual records in the box
- Each record will have to be reviewed to see if it can be destroyed - this will be done by searching within our Electronic Medical Record System.
- Some clinics will have multiple records for one patient that will need to be merged.
- The retention period for the clinics will be different depending on whether it was a hospital based clinic or free standing clinic according to Montana law.
- After destruction and combining of records, refill the boxes, and label the boxes with the clinic information, and location information, as well as making the inventory list.
- Separating minor patient records from adult patient records
- Filing the boxes away using a conveyor belt to different floors in the warehouse, picking them up and filing on shelves that can be three boxes high.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Office experience – Preferred
- Experience with filling or inventory
- High school diploma / GED required
