Job Description
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.The Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP) Group of BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager to support the mission-critical challenges for the Intelligence Community (IC); primarily focused on our work with the National Reconnaissance Organization (NRO) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).The Sales Manager for our NRO/CIA business must be a business-focused, creative, technically-capable, self-starter who understands and can articulate the customer’s needs and can infer GXP capabilities to customers. Meeting the mission-critical needs of the NRO and CIA will require the ability to identify gaps, understand and pursue emerging requirements, perform market and economic analysis, conduct business intelligence, design and execute formal account engagement plans, and monitor competitor activity. The NRO/CIA Sales Manager must also have a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and challenges in order to map GXP capabilities (software and services) and understand how they can meet customer requirements.A key role of the NRO/CIA Sales Manager is the management and execution of the full Sales life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits in a high-paced environment through the direct engagement, internal and external partnerships, campaigns, and associated marketing. Collaboration with a team of Sales and Product Development professionals is paramount in achievement of GXP’s short and long-term business development goals by maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities to achieve the group’s annual financial objectives.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship statusRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of related experience
  • 6 years of experience in sales, business development and/or capture teams
  • Proven track record of successful capture and pipeline management across multiple Intelligence Community and program offices at a variety of acquisition sizes
  • Experience working directly with the NRO and/CIA
  • Experience with Government (Intel/DoD) budget, investments and acquisition processes
  • Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports and a Customer Relationship Management (i.e. Salesforce) to track opportunities and manage pipeline
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Knowledge in mission software, digital modernization, analysis and Intelligence tradecraft domains
  • Knowledge in the use of, and collection management of, all-source intelligence, to include GEOINT, ELINT, HUMINT, and OSINT
  • Knowledge in the analysis of patterns and trends among different types of open source and closed source data models
  • Knowledge in the use and analysis of AI capabilities for the determination of significant activity/abnormal activity (normalcy modeling)
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across BAE Systems
  • Management of a multi-million dollar pipeline of opportunities
  • Travel as required 10% -20% per month (assumes Reston-based. Will need to be higher if remote)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
