BAE Systems is Hiring a Painter II Near Phoenix, AZ


Job Description
In this role you will apply a variety of standard and specialized finishes on production or prototype items of simple to complex design per specifications, requirements and instructions. The work is performed in a moderate to fast paced environment, repetitive in nature, detailed, and requires critical adherence to established quality levels while completing within timeframe and workspace allowed for the assigned task.
You will be required to:
  • Prepare surfaces
  • Set-up and operate equipment for painting
  • Mix coatings per instructions
  • Responsibly use chemicals
  • Appropriately log products and containers as required
  • Perform self-inspection/evaluation of work to ensure required/expected results are achieved per work instructions or guidance
  • Move or assists in moving applicable materials, parts, tools, and equipment
  • Accurately record data within production logs and complete related paperwork
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one year of painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to use both hands for manipulating, handling and applying various materials used in painting functions
  • Ability to handle tools used in the painting process
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unaided
  • Ability to pass respirator test (breathing)
  • Ability to properly wear PPE (respirators) when priming and painting, safety glasses, and face shields
  • Ability to understand the work processes consistent with a manufacturing painting workshop
  • Fundamental knowledge in reading, interpreting, and working from blueprints
  • Ability to read and understand work documents and to communicate information clearly to coworkers and supervisor
  • Ability to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Aerospace and/or Defense experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $41200 - $65900
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
