Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for an entry level Contracts Administrator to administer contracts in the Platforms and Services Sector, specifically in Ship Repair. This position will act as a point of contact between the company, contracting officers, buyers and project management personnel for contract award, proposals, and negotiation of change orders. This position will also monitor the contract's performance and submit reports and recommendations to management.
This role will require the CA to review the contract once its awarded and work with the team to understand and meet the requirements. The CA will also be preparing and submitting proposal with support from the program team and management. As well as maintain daily dialogue with company and customer activities to address and resolve contract matters and review, administer and negotiate change orders with customers.
• Analyze contracting requirements for suggesting revisions to the statement of work or specifications.
• Supports assigned proposal activities including analyzing solicitations and preparing summaries based on the analysis, participating in all proposal team meetings; preparing terms, conditions, and assumptions for the proposal; reviewing technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency; and preparing proposal documents for internal bid approval review and submittal to the Customer.
• Performing cost or price analysis to review cost breakdowns or determine reasonableness.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts. Draft, prepare, and execute certain internal and external correspondence on contractual/program matters, under review by Contract Managers, commensurate with experience and demonstrated competence.
• Participate in final stages of assigned contract by verifying completion of all commitments, and performing assigned activities associated with Contract Closeout.
• Prepare and review justification documentation for sole source clearances.
• Strong computer skills for data entry, reports, and other documents
• Works with Program personnel and other Company functions as required. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with internal customers.
• Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
• Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and communicating with company personnel.
• Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures. Serve as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts.
• Assignments are clearly defined. Receives supervision and guidance as required. Is aligned directly with a more senior Contracts professional for workload assignments and tasking. Results are reviewed in process and upon completion.
• Works with Program personnel and other Company functions as required. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with internal customers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
BS/BA and 2 years of work experience or equivalent experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48800 - $83000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
