Badger State Fruit Processing, Inc. is Hiring a Dryer Operator Near PITTSVILLE, WI

Description

Dryer Operator in Pittsville, WI. Starting $16.50, plus $1,000 sign on bonus.

Benefits:

  • Vacation: 40 hours after 90 days of employment 80 hours after one year of employment
  • Holidays: 8 designated

Schedule:

  • 2-2-3 schedule 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on following week 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off
  • 6am to 6pm or 6 pm to 6 am. $2.00/hr differential for the night shift.
  • Scheduled holidays off

The Dryer Operator is responsible for maintaining dryer activity on the dryer discharge to meet customer specifications in compliance with the company’s Safe Quality Food Program.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Operation, troubleshooting, and sanitation of a Dryer.
  • Perform Dryer Flush, Dryer Bed Wash, and Belt Tracking at established intervals during processing to ensure product quality and equipment performance.
  • Perform Pre-Operational Inspections.
  • Maintain product traceability as appropriate on required paperwork.
  • Understanding and execution of SDC HACCP Plan CCP1 Sanitation.
  • Dryer Outfeed metal detector and earth magnet monitoring.
  • Best Sorter checks
  • De-clumper and T.E.W.S. sensor checks and cleaning.
  • Add back kickoff product as needed.
  • Weigh and Stack product bulk off.
  • Complete Forklift checks.
  • Keep Armanakote and Sunflower Oil full.
  • Anticipate problem areas of engagements and questions that will arise.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish various production goals.
  • Enter data on production sheets. All required paperwork must be clear, legible, complete, and accurate.
  • Assist with any special projects at the request of Management.
  • Maintain area, equipment, and personal hygiene. Utilize downtime to keep work area neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Communicate effectively with other plant personnel regarding any production issues, changes, and safety issues.
  • Communicate potential and actual Food Safety Issues to personnel (direct Supervisor or QA) to initiate the corrective action process.

Work Environment:

  • Hair restraints are required. Earplugs, safety glasses and or other PPE may be required.
  • Ability to constantly stand/walk; climb stairs; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left or right hand.
  • Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors in tight quarters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with temperatures ranging from 55°-95°F.

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license
