We are looking for experienced summer basketball camp division leader specifically for the age group of Kindergarten-2nd Grade to lead the Junior Division at MVP Basketball in White Plains, New York. The Junior Division Leader must have a Bachelor's degree or higher with 2-3 years experience in teaching, coaching or other summer leadership roles. The Junior Division Leader is expected to arrive early each morning with a schedule, age appropriate activities planned, and all necessary equipment (provided by MVP Basketball Camp). The Division Leader will oversee junior coaches, lead basketball centric activities and games, address camper behavior and report directly to MVP Basketball Camp Directors.

MVP Basketball Camp will operate from July through Early August with a full day camp hours of 9 AM- 3 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily/weekly age appropriate basketball activities
• Oversee junior coaches in your division
• Lead basketball style games and activities to maximize engagement, safety and fun
• Resolve camper conflict and communicate directly with MVP Basketball Directors on a daily basis
• Make sure all health and safety rules and protocols are being followed

Skills

• *MUST HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR HIGHER TO APPLY
• 2-3 years experience as a Certified Teacher, Head Coach, Camp Leader or similar experience working with children is preferred
• Familiarity with summer camp games, recreation activities, sports and PE curriculum is required
• Physical Education teaching experience is a plus
• Junior Division Leader must have a passion for working with children and communicating consistently with families when needed
• First aid- and CPR/AED-certified is preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
