Bachmans was founded in 1885 and remains a family-owned business, with fifth-generation Bachman family members leading the company today. Bachmans operates six full-service Floral, Gift & Garden Centers throughout the Twin Cities, a shop in the Galleria, a Hardscapes Center in Farmington, and 28 floral departments within Lunds & Byerlys grocery stores. Additionally, Bachmans operates indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, a weddings and special events department, a wholesale nursery division, seven acres of greenhouses, and a 670-acre growing range in Lakeville, Minn., which produces many of the plants, flowers, and landscaping products sold by Bachmans today.

The floral merchandiser merchandises in our Flower's by Bachman's departments within the Lunds and Byerlys stores. They provide quality control, maintain inventory and ensure the display is up to Bachman's standards.

**Job Duties:**

* In-store servicing, merchandising and maintaining proper levels of perishable and hard goods inventory in assigned floral grocery stores.

* Identify, remove, and transfer out old or non-saleable product.

* Determine best selling product and store trends for each store and make selections of product for delivery.

* Load and deliver to stores and create visually pleasing displays.

* Communicate needs of business to other business partners.

* Clean, organize and maintain a neat orderly store environment consistent with department design. This includes care and maintenance of perishable & hard good products.

* Responsible for multiple locations per day and may involve multiple loads or long hours during peak

**Qualifications:**

* This position requires a valid Drivers License and able to pass a background check

* Ability to drive frequently in the metro area with a full size van.

* The ability to lift up to 20 lbs. repeatedly and 50 lbs. occassionally.

* Able to work on feet a majority of your shift.

* The ability to work independently is required.

* 1 or more years of Visual Merchandising experience.

* Knowledge of blooming and green plants and cut flower care is preferred.

* Comfortable using technology, i.e. tablets and applications.

**Schedule:**

* Part time, about 24 hours per week.

* Minimum of 4 Weekend days per month

* Flexible start time between 6am 8 am

* Extra hours required during busy periods and all holidays, Thursdays and Fridays are key days.
