Bach Team is a multi-faceted residential development company formed in 2006. Summary

Because of its sustained growth, Bach is expanding its development team to pursue and construct several highly desirable multi-family projects. Accordingly, Bach is looking for a Construction Estimator / Purchaser who will buy-out multiple apartment/townhome projects with typically 250-400 units each. This is an in-office position, and will not be performed remotely. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assemble bid packages with all construction documents.
• Obtain and qualify all bids from subcontractors.
• Administer all contracts with subcontractors.
• Administer, negotiate, and implement all change order requests.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.
• Infrequent travel may be required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and/or related software.
• Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand industry scopes of work.

Education and Experience

• College Degree or related experience in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 2 of construction experience required. Preferably with multi-family construction.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather (this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Exposure to typical construction site dangers.
• Travel 10-15%
