To keep up with the demands and growth of our business, our Distribution Centers are integral to the operation of supplying the products effectively across the market regions in the US. Currently, Bob’s supply chain includes 5 Distribution Center locations. The Distribution Center Business Analyst develops data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems. This position manages the flow of information for reports through the use of relational databases within various reporting programs and maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy. The DC Business Analyst stays informed of the ways the organization uses the data to create better end user experience. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for real time analysis from a variety of data sources including but not limited to SAP (ER1 and EW1), Power BI, SharePoint, SAP BOBJ, and Google analytics. Analyzes historical data for the DC operations with an understanding of Delivery, Depot, Customer Care and Inventory processes to provide an improved end user experience. Participates in inter-departmental process discussions, documents, and organized ideas to presents them to the DC Analytical team Communicates via e-mail, conference call, or in person meeting with stakeholders regarding systemic updates and or improvements. Performs additional duties as requested Competencies: Working knowledge of WMS Systems including SAP Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose systemic and transactional trends and patterns Strong verbal and written communication skills. Confidence to function as part of a broader team that sometimes may have differing opinions and perspectives. Strong sense of urgency, flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced, priority changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Power BI, SharePoint, InfoPath) and willingness to learn. Proficiency in SAP Programs (ECC, EWM, BOBJ) and willingness to learn. Work Environment: In the Distribution Center, occasional travel to other DCs, depots, or stores. Collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams Physical Demands Office work: Sitting & standing Field visits: walking Expected Hours of Work and Travel Weekly hours: 40 hours Travel: occasional travel (domestic as needed) Required Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED or Technical High School Diploma or equivalent 5 Years’ experience in a Warehouse/DC atmosphere Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills Strong product/value recognition Skilled at managing competing priorities Detail oriented and accurate Preferred Education and Experience Advanced graduate degree and/or certifications in the related field. Advanced knowledge of most Windows Applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InfoPath, Access, and Outlook Working knowledge of DC internal operations including Shipping, Receiving, Returns, Inventory Control, Delivery, Customer Care, Loss Prevention, and Information Management System Americans Disability Act (ADA) Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance Ability to move throughout all areas of stores Stand or sit continuously to perform job functions Bob’s Discount Furniture is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to reasonably accommodating qualified persons with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential duties of their position.
