We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Lead Designer to join our Architecture and Engineering firm. The Lead Designer will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of design aspects, including architecture, historic preservation, landscape architecture, long-range planning, interior design, space planning, furniture specification, site utilization studies, cost estimating, budget assessment, graphic design and signage, food service design, scheduling, and environmental and sustainable design. Additionally, the Lead Designer will collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, environmental, and more to ensure comprehensive project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Submit biographical sketches , detailing education, professional experience, and recognition for design efforts. Each sketch should be concise, with a maximum of two pages.
• Outline the overall approach to design team composition and leadership.
• Describe the parameters of your design philosophy, including its applicability to creating overseas diplomatic presence, addressing challenges of public architecture, commitment to integrated and sustainable design, and approach to design development, project delivery, and completion through the entire design and construction cycle.

Portfolio Requirements:

• Submit a portfolio consisting of no more than three projects designed in the last ten years.
• Each project within the portfolio must:
• Detail your participation in the project.
• Include the overall design philosophy and salient features.
• Explain how the client’s objectives were satisfied by the design/planning solution.
• Cite any certificates, awards, or peer recognition received for exemplary design.
• Clearly outline your work responsibilities on the project.
• Highlight innovative measures incorporated into the project.
• Identify environmental, social, and cultural problems solved through design and the positive impact on communities served.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural design.
• Proven track record of delivering exemplary, thoughtful, and technically comprehensive projects.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing design teams.
• Strong understanding of integrated and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant design software.

Pay: $82,836.55 - $99,760.15 per year
