24 Hour Residential Caregiver Job Description Summary

B2 Community Care is currently looking to hire reliable, Positive, Upbeat, Friendly and Compassionate Certified Medical Assistants with Experience working in the I/DD Field to care for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

We are currently looking for caregivers with Evening, Weekday and Weekend Availability.

Our mission is to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive home for our diverse individuals. All staff will work together to support our clients in all aspects of their lives including: in-home care, family support, promoting health, relationships, employment, day support and whatever else the individuals need.

Morning

• Assist or cue clients with morning routines, breakfast and bathing
• Administer medications if required and document accordingly
• Assist with preparation for daily plans, activities, outings, and cleaning
• Ask the client what they would like to do today

Evening

• Assist with nighttime routine
• Prepare dinner
• Cue clients for restroom use, assist if needed
• Assist client with bathing if needed
• Administer medications if required and document accordingly

Cleaning

• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed daily for health and safety measures
• Give clients the time to clean up after themselves after each activity
• Ensure cleaning supplies are in the storage room and locked away (the door must remain locked at all times unless you are getting supplies out or putting them back in storage)
• Inform manager when we are running low on supplies

Progress Notes

Are to be written:

Daily ( One per resident, per shift)

• At the end of the clients first week in the Home
• If a client changes their B2 schedule
• If there is a new behavior occurring
• If a client has a BSP that requires notes
• Following up after an IR if needed

Incident Reports

• Any abnormal incident requires an IR
• B2’s Residential rule is that an IR must be written the day of the incident and submitted to the care team within 24 hours

Communication

• Establish a communicative relationship with your client’s care team. Communicate any changes regarding client care to the House Manager immediately.
• If you are going to be absent, late or sick communicate with B2 management ASAP so coverage is managed
• Communicate with managers as early as possible to coordinate time off requests
• Keep an open door for all residents so they may feel supported, honest and open, and comfortable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
