About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Reporting & Analytics team in Consumer Technology. We are seeking a talented Software Lead Engineer to develop new reporting and analytics capabilities in tools like Power BI & Tableau as well help manage our underlying data infrastructure. This team develops these tools to support our business partners, product owners, technology leads, finance, and various levels of bank leadership. In this role, you will lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. Contribute to large scale planning of strategies. Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures. Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address. In this role, you will: Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments Maintain functional ownership of various aspects including technical advisory, delivery infrastructure, communication, and engagement strategy and other key strategic aspects of the function Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures Build analytical capabilities and manage forecasting, reporting, and data distribution tools and processes Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff Required Qualifications, US: 6 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5 years of reporting and analytics development in tools like Tableau, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, etc. 4 years of database development or support 4 years of development in SQL, Python, Java/React, SAS, Visual Basic, PowerBI, RPA tooling (e.g., UI Path, Power Platform), etc. Desired Qualifications: 1 years’ experience with the Microsoft Power Platform 1 years of GenAI and/or prompt engineering Knowledge of and experience with supervised/unsupervised Machine Learning, natural language processing Knowledge of and experience with Business Intelligence tools to design/promote reporting and insights: e.g., Business Objects for visual depiction of data Automation experience for automated ETL (extract/transfer/load) evaluation and anomaly detection Knowledge of ETL (extract/transfer/load) practices and standards Experience working with large scale data environments with disparate data and database structures Experience with data validation and quality monitoring pre/post data processing standards Experience with aggregation, analysis and generating insights from structured and unstructured data sets Ability to identify anomalies insights and patterns across large data sources Ability to synthesize/translate data for executive consumption Locations 100 Fidelity Plz, NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ 100 N 18th St. Philadelphia 300 South Brevard St, Charlotte 2650 WELLS FARGO WAY, MINNEAPOLIS, MN Posting End Date: 23 May 2024 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
