The Consumer Technology (CT) group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work in our Consumer Lending Technology - Engineering team. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will be actively engaged in architecture, design, and development of backend rules engine services that requires familiarity with rules engine technology and microservices. In this role, you will be building out backend platform, implementing new tools, work on important and new modernization of rules engine execution environment. This is an opportunity to produce immediate impact by leveraging your strengths and past experience while learning new things. In this role, you will: Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor Required Qualifications, US: 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5 years of Java experience 5 years of Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) experience 5 years of Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience Desired Qualifications: An industry-standard technology certification Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology 5 years of consumer lending experience Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills 3 years of experience with Cloud technologies 4 years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot 3 years of microservices development experience 2 years of Agile experience 2 years of Mongo DB experience 1 year of JavaScript development experience Knowledge or experience with Drools Knowledge or experience with .Net and Angular is a huge plus Knowledge or experience of containerization related management stacks with Docker, Swarm or Kubernetes Posting End Date: 7 Apr 2024 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
