About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Climate Modeling & Analytics – Senior Lead Data Science Consultant within Data Management & Insight. In this role, you will: Lead qualitative model and advanced analytic solutions builds requiring vision, creativity, innovation, advanced hypothesis generation and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and resolution Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise, leveraging data-driven insights regarding large-scale companywide climate commitments made by the enterprise Act as a top subject matter expert, leading all levels of professionals and managers across the company to drive climate methodology and data recommendations and strategies based on data-driven analytical insights, trends, and patterns; serve as an expert advisor to leadership Act as a top subject matter expert on climate models, analytics and provide this expertise to groups across the bank working on climate. Keep up to date and be involved heavily in methodology & data discovery/analysis in the rapidly changing climate landscape Lead model risk management across the team including training junior resources Enforce processes and controls for the model and analytic solutions to mitigate the risks associated with these builds Execute the most complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to discover solutions for abstract business problems across various domains Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies with impacts across the company Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels, including executive leadership, across the company Required Qualifications: 7 years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science 5 years of development experience with languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or R 5 years of SQL experience 5 years of experience with analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting 3 years Model development, Model validation experience, or a combination of both 2 years of financial industry experience Desired Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Python Climate experience highly desired specifically in financed emissions modeling Experience in conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting This position offers a hybrid work schedule of three (3) days a week in the office and two (2) days a week remote inclusive of holidays and vacation days counting as days in the office.
