We are rapidly expanding our team in Tampa, Florida! We are seeking high energy and reliable individuals to join us in achieving our mission.
We are looking to hire a skilled CNC Programmer to operate and maintain our CNC equipment. The CNC programmer is responsible for programming from prints and solid models using company software; With proficiency in Esprit preferred 2020/TNG/Edge. This position will require the CNC Programmer to choose appropriate tooling, set up parts in the machine, and do first article pc inspections. You will also make adjustments as needed when turned over to production team.
To ensure success as a CNC Programmer, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised. Ultimately, a top-class CNC Programmer who works quickly and efficiently, ensuring all products meet the specifications of the client.
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to program CNC lathes.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
  • Be a part of maintaining machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the timely completion of jobs and communicate to management team members of any issues that affect the completion.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements to properly cut and shape materials to match blueprints and specifications.
  • Monitor all machines while working and identify any needs for adjustments.
  • Adhering to any policies as set forth by the management team.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations concerning the department.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff by following established safety standards.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Support a positive and professional image through actions.
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Communicate with vendors, management personnel, customers, and technical experts as necessary to coordinate manufacturing needs and resolve any issues efficiently.
  • Essential duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Esprit2020/TNG/Edge
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous work experience as a CNC Programmer
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work after-hours when required
  • Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Work Environment:
  • Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to access and navigate B&T’s facilities.
