Overview:
At B&T's Deli our goal is to bring delicious plant-based options to sandwich lovers. We focus on high-quality, organic, and plant-based ingredients, a curated menu of sandwiches and build-your-own options, and top-notch service that resembles the friendly and personalized approach of a neighborhood deli.
We are seeking a dedicated Front of House / Sandwich Prep Team Member to join our team. If you have a passion for preparing high quality sandwiches and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell additional products
- Assemble sandwiches with care and attention to detail
- Handle credit card transactions and operate Square POS system
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Restock refrigerated products, packaged goods and to-go packaging
- Perform open and/or closing duties to ensure deli is clean and prepared for start and end of business day
Experience:
- Exceptional customer service skills to address guest inquiries and concerns
- Ability to upsell products to enhance customer experience
- Experience in food handling, preparation, or service
- Familiarity with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
