Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Detailer/Estimator to join our team. As a Detailer/Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed steel fabrication estimates and project management support. Your expertise in steel fabrication, estimating, and drafting will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Duties:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects using software such as Fabtrol or similar
- Collaborate with others to develop accurate and competitive bids
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project costs throughout the fabrication process and implement cost control measures as needed
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines
- Conduct site visits to gather information for estimating purposes

- Must be able to detail and is familiar with detailing software such as AutoCad and SDS/2

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication management principles and practices
- Proficiency in estimating techniques and software, such as Fabtrol or similar
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing cost estimates
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Be proficient in detailing software such as AutoCad and SDS/2 (Additional training can be provide)
