Summary of Job:

Installs, services and performs maintenance of signs and commercial lighting for local and national clients. Troubleshoots to diagnose outages related to lamps, neon, LED lighting, ballasts, sockets and wiring in a wide range of illuminated signage, as well as material failure in non-illuminated signage. Sets-up software and communication for LED message center displays.

1. Reports to work promptly and on time, ready to work.

2. Work will be primarily in the field. The work week will normally be 40 hours per week, with hours of 7:00 – 3:30pm (Overtime is sometimes required and is handled on a per project basis.)

3. Maintains a neat, well-groomed appearance as you may be the first face of the company. Personal hygiene standards must be maintained.

4. Ensures work area is kept neat, safe, clean, and hazard free. (Job site and company vehicles)

5. Attends and participates in scheduled meetings.

6. Learns and utilizes features of CRM software – currently SquareCoil

7. Maintains a high degree of cooperation, communication and coordination with Owners/PMs, Office Manager, Designers, and Shop Foreman.

9. Can continually project the image of a successful, professional company in a business-like, upbeat manner with clients and others encountered throughout the work day.

10. Reviews work order details for customer orders. Identifies and obtains all aspects of project prior to dispatch from shop.

11. Load signs onto trucks/trailers and ensures that they are properly secured so that they do not fall or get damaged.

12. Determines proper layouts and communicates any issues to the supervisor, then Install signs by following strict instructions and compliance to the work order and provided patterning.

13. Perform electrical connections to existing power within allowed distance, confirming wiring is properly grounded and loose wires are appropriately bound.

14. Sign lighting is tested to ensure proper illumination while on-site

15. Before and after project photographs obtained and uploaded to project files.

16. Performs necessary troubleshooting/maintenance on existing signage.

17. Removes signage, caps wiring, and patches penetrations for de-branding projects.

18. Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

19. Follows proper lifting technique – ALWAYS.

20. While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel and write; reach with arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

· Communication: professional verbal and written communication skills are essential to work with clients and other team members to effectively complete all processes related to projects.

· Attention to Detail: Seemingly minor details missed can create significant expense for the company. Close attention is required for success.

· Organization and Time Management

· Working knowledge of hand tools, and accurately reads tape measure.

· Owns or can obtain personal tools

· Working understanding of basic electrical

· Mechanically inclined

· Problem-solving: Although Lead Installer/Foreman will handle significant problems, you should be prepared to work through and resolve minor issues without assistance.

· Positive Attitude: Upbeat countenance, and viewing yourself as a player on the team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
