**Job Overview:**

We are looking for a qualified, hard working applicant with experience in a Medium Volume Foodservice Environment. The ideal candidate will have experience as a brtender in a medium volume restaurant/bar. This position will also be required to provide food service as needed. Banquet experience is beneficial in this job.

The applicant should have experience bartending/serving lunches and dinners, and catering experience for small groups (50-100 persons), and large events (200 persons).

Applicant must be able to work with assigned staff and core volunteers that may assist when needed for large events. (Volunteers have been trained and tested in safe food handling procedures.)

The applicant should have R.B.S. training and be able to provide a copy of the required certificate with their application.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, to customers following standard recipes

- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area

- Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age. Check to see if they are Elks.

- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately

- Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies as needed

- Adhere to all food safety and handling procedures

- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely drink service

**Experience:**

- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bar setting

- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle various customer personalities

- Knowledge of basic math for handling payments and making change

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Experience in catering or banquet services is a plus
