B. Green & Company, Inc. is Hiring a Coordinator, Pricing Near Baltimore, MD

Family Owned and Operated Independent Grocery chain is looking to add an upbeat, go-getter to the Procurement and Marketing Team. We are in need of a Pricing Coordinator to join our team; responsible for activating and maintaining accurate pricing and product information in our database for all locations.

The Pricing Coordinator (PC) is responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day support to the Procurement Team and all retail locations. Responsible for executing and maintaining pricing in the organization’s database for all locations in an efficient and accurate manner.

Essential Duties:

  • Enters new items into the system, deletes old items, and ensures pricing integrity by correcting or reporting omissions, errors or any inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Oversees weekly price changes and pricing in support of the organization’s gross profit margin goals.
  • Adheres to company and state pricing regulations.
  • Responsible for verifying weekly circular pricing execution, is aware of all ad items and any special restrictions. Coordinates the weekly sales promotion activities with department managers.
  • Activates pricing batch work via computer at correct times. Communicates effectively with other departments as needed to provide updates or changes to pricing.
  • Communicate directly with vendors on pricing and P.O.s.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets as required.
  • Compile and produce applicable reports as required.
  • Schedule and confirm meetings.
  • Performs other staff duties as required. May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
  • Cultivate and maintain open relationships and consistent communication with customers, internal and external. Prompt response to inquiries.
  • Execute accurate and timely data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Keeps inventory of supplies and orders additional needs.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the office, working with Porters as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant data entry, database maintenance, and organizational tasks.
  • Experience working in multi-unit industries preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required – Power User or Higher.
  • Proficient in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must possess effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, self-starter, and team player required.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume of transactions a must.
  • Demonstrated accountability, sense of ownership, and urgency. Demonstrated experience with a roll-up the sleeves and can-do attitude.
  • Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Physical Demands: The role will rely heavily upon the incumbents’ ability to communicate clearly and as such, the ability to speak, listen and comprehend information is critical. There will be long, extensive periods of sitting while working on a computer but based upon the layout of the corporate office and our retail stores, the ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs is required. Must possess the manual dexterity to use a computer for long, extensive periods of time.

Work Environment: Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment is based in a corporate environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Work Schedule: Full time role to equate to 40 hours or more per week. Occasionally, there may be business functions that will require your presence on additional nights and/or weekends.
