B&F Construction Code Services, Inc. is Hiring a Building Inspector Near Elgin, IL

B & F Construction Code Services, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Building Inspector: You will be based out of our office in Elgin, IL. We provide uniforms, PPE, work phone and a company vehicle for you to drive to inspections. Our company provides health, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k with matching. In addition, B & F Construction Code Services, Inc. provides paid sick and vacation time. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. This position is guaranteed 40 hours per week. This position will be in the office and in the field doing inspections. We also offer paid training, on-the-job training, and provide study material and pay for ICC examination attempts per our policy.

Visit us on our website; www.constructioncodes.com. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 DOQ. Significant salary increases are given for ICC certification achievement based on our policy.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform commercial, industrial and residential building, mechanical, electrical, and/or energy inspections.

· May review construction plans for conformity to appropriate code(s).

· Perform code enforcement inspections.

· Communicate issues and deficiencies to the client and detail the options provided by the applicable code.

· Advise property owners, contractors, designers, and builders regarding code requirements.

· Provide municipal and private industry code research and reports as assigned.

· Attend project meetings about inspections and may include plan review.

· Meet with clients and prospective clients as assigned.

· Work on special projects which may include plan review as assigned.

· Attend meetings with clients, trade associations and represent the company as assigned.

· Answer code questions and inquiries in via email and over the telephone.

· Answer inquiries about inspections or plan reviews performed.

· Maintain applicable certifications by attending training sessions as assigned.
