B.E.S.T. Physical Therapy is seeking a highly experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. We are a PT owned private practice that is dedicated to providing individualized quality care to our patients. Enjoy treating your patients in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the support of both your co-workers and on-site management. We encourage a practice where we all work together for the benefit of our patients.

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to help us expand our busy practice ! We have a Part-Time/Full-Time position available in our outpatient offices in Middlesex and South Plainfield. We are looking for an experienced licensed PTA who enjoys treating a varied outpatient population and wants to be part of a team approach to a growing community based practice. We continue to expand and are looking for quality individuals to join us.

Serving Middlesex County with two offices located in Middlesex, NJ and South Plainfield, NJ.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform Physical Therapy Treatments under the supervision of PT's utilizing manual therapy techniques , exercise and modalities as needed.
  • Implement physical therapy Exercise programs that focus on personalized patient care.
  • Evaluate effects of PT treatment and establish appropriate functional goals in conjunction with supervising PT.
  • Modify care as need to ensure continued patient improvement.
  • Communicate patients' progress to other health care team members.
  • Record and document all patient information in Web PT in a complete and timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy setting is preferred.
  • Time management skills to effectively treat 2-3 patients per hour max. PTA will have their own caseload as well as assisting Physical Therapist with daily operational activities.
  • Ability to build professional rapport with patients, family members and other medical professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities/Self-Motivated and Energetic.
  • Ability to work well as a team member/Supervise support staff.
  • Valid N.J. Physical Therapy Assistant's license and malpractice insurance.
  • Hands on manual based therapy skills with knowledge of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, exercise science & sports training.
