Job Summary
B&A is looking for an OpenText Content Server Consultant to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OpenText Content Server Consultant to join our team. As an OpenText Content Server Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the implementation, configuration, customization, and optimization of the OpenText Content Server platform. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, identify opportunities for leveraging the platform to improve business processes, and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and configuration of OpenText Content Server for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and requirements.
  • Develop and implement custom solutions, workflows, and integrations to extend the functionality of the Content Server platform and address unique client needs.
  • Analyze existing Content Server deployments and provide recommendations for optimization to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the use of Content Server features, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including design specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals to support implementations and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver successful Content Server implementations and integrations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in OpenText Content Server and related technologies to continuously improve skills and stay ahead of industry trends.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with OpenText Content Server, with a proven track record of successful implementations and customization.
  • Proficiency in OpenText Content Server administration, configuration, customization (using OTCS APIs, WebReports, Workflow Design, etc.), and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with integrating OpenText Content Server with other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and document management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • OpenText Content Server certifications (such as OpenText Certified Content Server Consultant) are desirable but not required.
Desired Skills
  • Possession of OpenText Content Server certifications (such as OpenText Certified Content Server Consultant) is desirable, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and expertise in the platform.
  • Experience with advanced customization techniques within OpenText Content Server, such as developing custom modules, scripting, or plugin development, can be highly beneficial in delivering tailored solutions to clients.
  • Knowledge of specific industries or domains where OpenText Content Server is commonly used (e.g., legal, healthcare, government) can be advantageous in understanding unique requirements and tailoring solutions accordingly.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest developments in OpenText Content Server and related technologies, through participation in training programs, conferences, or online communities.
Security Clearance
  • Eligible to obtain a government security clearance.
