We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to our clients. Compensation:

Industry leading compensation model. Allowing for the ability to maximize earnings for the time spent with clients. Revenue share model plus bonus compensation, allowing you to fully maximize your income while having the autonomy to coordinate your own schedule. We want to provide freedom to providers to practice their craft at the top of their license. We partner with you as an independent contractor which provides you with exceptional benefits and allows you to practice with freedom.

Responsibilities and Job Description:

  • As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to our clients.
  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for clients experiencing psychiatric disorders.
  • Your expertise and compassion will be essential in delivering individualized care and supporting the overall well-being of our clients.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess clients' mental health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medication and monitor patient response and progress.
  • Provide counseling and therapy to individuals and families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate clients and families about mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records.
  • Other job relevant duties and responsibilities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Requisite education completed in your course of licensure in order to practice as a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
  • An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state.
  • Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license, A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) where direct services will be provided.
  • Commitment to providing next level service, bringing unique ideas to the table to better serve our clients and community.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstration of appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
  • Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems (TheraNest experience a plus!).
  • Pass background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders.
  • Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the state’s Nurse Practice Act.
  • Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team members to coordinate client care.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.
  • Counsel clients during appointments, as necessary.
  • Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
  • Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for clients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders.
  • Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others on client’s conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities/agencies (funders, insurance companies, etc.) as required.
  • Return calls and emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt or sooner if clinically necessary).
  • Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed utilizing national guidelines for treatment interventions.
  • Responsible for maintaining customer relations with all agency staff and clients.
  • Records all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations. Submits billing documents in a timely fashion.
