Position Summary The Room Service Overnight Server will effectively serve food and beverage selections to our guests, including bartending responsibilities. Their job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner. ? Answer telephone in a professional manner in accordance with HRH Chatter standards and promptly follow through on any guest needs or requests. ? Graciously and accurately record all guest orders and enter all items into the MICROS/POS System. ? Maintain the integrity of the food so that it is delivered in the correct temperature and in the layout designed by the cook/chef, as well as ensure the utensils and other dining ware is clean and polished appropriately. ? Knowledge of all food and beverage menus, brand selections, prices and garnishes. ? Knowledge of cocktails, mixing, espresso and coffee beverages. ? Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-fire orders, and product availability. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. ? Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques. ? Conduct self in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view. ? Maintain cleanliness of Room Service areas, ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked and ensure timely removal of room service trays from guest hallways/rooms. ? Complete assigned duties within each shift, including daily cash handling procedures in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. ? Responsible for collecting accurate payment from the guest and depositing the exact amount of sales. ? Check guest identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. ? Properly adhere to the Amenity Delivery Guidelines to ensure proper delivery. ? Obtain Arrival In-House Guest List from Front Office to assist in daily duties. ? Knowledge of hotel and general local area information. ? Maintain appearance and uniform standards. ? Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors. ? Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner. ? Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers. ? Follow all policies and procedures put forth by the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Education and Work Experience ? High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 2 years of Serving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel experience preferred. ? Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
