About the Role

Our sales specialists partner with clients and Aztec account executives to generate leads, understand client needs, propose solutions, and support technology deployments specific to one of our solution categories. As a Managed Print Services (MPS) Sales Specialist, you will be our clients’ primary point of contact for printer supplies purchasing and managed print programs within Aztec’s technology solutions ecosystem. Primarily working through an inside sales model, you will spend your days making warm B2B telephone sales calls to existing clients and vetted client prospects. You will partner with other Aztec sales professionals (e.g., account executives, other specialists) to jointly plan account strategy and pass around opportunity information. MPS Sales is an early-stage, entrepreneurial, and fast-growing sales team at Aztec helping us expand beyond our core hardware business. This is a great opportunity for sales professionals hungry for growth potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Make warm B2B sales calls to existing Aztec clients and vetted leads to sell printer supplies and managed print programs
  • Cross-sell supplies into current equipment and service clients
  • Upsell managed print programs into current supplies clients
  • Introduce new client prospects into the Aztec technology solutions ecosystem through supplies, and educate clients about our full suite of capabilities
  • Foster deep, long-term client relationships through consistent outreach and proactive needs identification and support
  • Collect lead information for other Aztec teams, and open opportunities in our CRM
  • Maintain profile information and sales notes in our CRM

90-day success expectations include:

  • Effectively articulate Aztec’s value proposition and explain key sales programs and product/service offerings
  • Understand the typical market dynamics, needs, pain points, and objections of clients in your assigned client vertical
  • Demonstrate proficiency in our ERP system (JD Edwards) and CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Surpass daily activity target of 50 outbound phone calls and 2.5 hours of outbound call time
  • Demonstrate progress toward sales and new client targets by achieving key ramp up milestones

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • We love inside and B2B sales experience, but we welcome applicants of all experience levels and offer training programs tailored to early career professionals looking to break into the field
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier college or university required or equivalent experience thriving in an inside sales environment
  • Ability to work onsite at our Middletown, CT, head office
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to client sites as needed (infrequently, less than 10% of the time)

Benefits

  • Total annual compensation of $70,000-$90,000 at target, made up of a $50,000 base salary and uncapped commission potential

IT Equipment Policy

We provide a full desktop technology set up for employees working in one of our offices. This includes a desktop computer, monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, and telephone. For employees working remotely or exercising partial remote flexibility under a hybrid program, we do not provide portable IT equipment at this time. We ask that you use your own personal laptop computer when working remotely. Our IT team will install all necessary software on your device for you to complete your required work remotely, including virtual access to our systems and an internet-based telephone system.
