Quality Technician | 3rd shift

Join our client’s team as a Quality Technician and play a vital role in maintaining quality standards by ensuring incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet the quality requirements for a full-service co-packing and packaging design company in Elk Grove, IL that helps brand companies bring products to market. This position involves performing various inspections and tests to uphold food safety and quality.

Quality Technician Responsibilities:

  • Conduct equipment verification and monitoring challenges, including scale calibration, metal detector challenge, and checkweigher challenge.
  • Perform pre-operation and line clearance inspections to ensure readiness for production.
  • Conduct ATP sampling to assess cleanliness and sanitation levels.
  • Independently perform and document all in-process food safety and quality inspections, including BOM, lot code, net weight, label review, sensory evaluations, and package construction and closure checks.
  • Investigate and follow hold procedures for out-of-specification components and finished goods.
  • Perform GMP-related audits of production areas.

Shift: 3rd

Pay:

$16 - $20/h $1 shift differential

Quality Technician Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3-6 months of related food quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with tablets (e.g., iPads).
  • General math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
