We are looking for a Production Planner for our client in Kenosha, WI.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan and schedule assembly, paint, fabrication, and other production-impacting materials.
  • Release manufacturing orders, assess schedule adherence, and propose improvements.
  • Evaluate delays, recommend enhancements to meet customer requirements.
  • Enhance procedures for level loading and executing schedules.
  • Apply established methods for scheduling across all production areas.
  • Assign charges to cancellation and premium orders based on customer orders.
  • Identify capacity constraints and work with relevant departments to meet production needs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and sales for effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate and respond to customer order expedites.
  • Maintain planned finished goods, stock, ROP/ROQ, and lot size inventory.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Planning/Scheduling reports.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on bill of material discrepancies and end-of-life parameters.
  • Participate in company programs and committees to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Recommend continuous improvement initiatives for workflow, procedures, and computer enhancements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Set goals and objectives with the Manager, seeking ways to improve quality and productivity.
  • Maintain good housekeeping conditions in the work area.
  • Report abnormalities in equipment, machines, programs, and processes.
  • Perform backup functions and engage in cross-training as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or Computer Science (preferred).
  • CPIM or CSCP certification desirable.
  • 2-5 years of Materials/Planning/Production Control or related experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of MRP and Capacity Planning theory/application.
  • Experience with Epicor or other ERP packages.
  • Make-to-Order manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • High level of self-initiative and dependability.
  • Flexibility to perform overtime duties or adjust schedules when required.
  • Resourceful and highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and balance multiple tasks.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude.
Pay: $50k - $70k/ year
