AY Media Group, award-winning publisher of two of the premier magazine titles in the mid-South — AY About You and Arkansas Money & Politics — seeks to add a seasoned, multi-faceted, full-time staff writer to our elite editorial room. This team-oriented self-starter will be responsible for producing world-class editorial, advertorial and online content as assigned, as well as generate story ideas and leads independently.

The right person will demonstrate a can-do attitude, excellent verbal and outstanding written communication skills. Other requirements include familiarity with AP style; comfort with working on deadline in a fast-paced environment; the ability to take direction and editing; and an ease with writing across a wide variety of subject matter. Impartiality, drive, accountability, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy are all a must; editing, proofreading and/or basic photography skills a major plus.
