Axway R&D is looking for a strong hands-on technical leader with excellent communication and leadership skills who will contribute to the success of our Cloud Engineering mission. Reporting to the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering , this up-and-coming Product Owner will join our experienced and successful DevOps Teams based across Europe (mostly FR and BG) and the US.

As the successful candidate, you will collaborate closely with development managers, project managers, architects and developers amongst others. You will be responsible for managing the product backlog, articulating the “what” and “why” for each product release and negotiating release contents with the team. Your primary focus is ensuring that the release delights our customers (Engineering Developers and Cloud Operators) in terms of value and timeliness while also helping differentiate Axway in the market.

Responsibilities

• Articulate the Portfolio Vision: You work with Product Management to understand the Business Context and Portfolio Vision, and drive out a high-level Portfolio Roadmap of work to achieve that Vision. You are then responsible for articulating and inspiring the Dev team to deliver that Roadmap and Vision.
• Plan quarterly releases: You run the Product Increment quarterly planning for the Dev team, to define release plans, deliver feature/function capability of a release. You prioritize backlog items (Stories, Tasks, Bugs) into ongoing Sprints and predict when various Roadmap items will be delivered.
• Organize the different agile ceremonies: During refinement and sprint planning meetings, you communicate Stakeholder requirements based on the business value (the “what” and “why) to the Dev Teams. You use the sprint demos to guarantee an effective feedback loop both from Stakeholders into the Dev team and vice versa.
• Validate againt the Definition of Done: You are expected to validate the delivery of acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements as well as adherence to the development and quality processes via the “definition of done” for each Sprint.
• Ensure the efficiency of the team: You consistently try to optimize the team’s efficiency and process based on the feedback from the retrospective as well as delivery KPI available in our tools.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualification

· 3 years of progressive leadership owning product management with a reputation of delighting customers, meeting tight deadlines, and fostering collaborative working relationships with engineering.

· Lives and breathes the customer and user experience, capable of translating business constructs into detailed requirements and instigating healthy debate and ambitious thinking within a team environment to arrive at a suitable solution.

· Strong aptitude for hands-on creation of compelling visual and persuasive written content for internal and external consumption.

· Takes an inclusive and listen-first approach to appropriately influence release contents and schedules

· Strong experience with Jira and familiarity with Aha and Confluence.

· Good knowledge of architectural principles of cloud providers (AWS, Azure).

· Experience in Containerization (Kubernetes) and Automation is a plus.

· English speaker – the PO must be proficient in English as all exchanges with R&D are done in this language. French knowledge is a plus.
