Senior Controls Engineer

As a Senior Controls Engineer at Axus Technology, you will be working in a fast paced and collaborative environment to maintain and enhance the controls software for semiconductor processing equipment. This role requires proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming, specifically ladder logic and structured text, to develop and maintain the existing PLC programs. Ability to configure and troubleshoot complex control systems, including motors, drives, and pneumatic systems is also required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Develop, debug, and modify existing PLC software.
• Configure and troubleshoot control system hardware.
• Work with customers to debug software and hardware related issues.
• Travel to customer sites.
• Perform software updates.
• Complete software testing, code reviews, and software releases.

Desired skill and Experience:

• Proficient in IEC 61131-3 programming.
• Experience with drive configuration and motor tuning.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting complex control systems including motors, drives, pneumatic systems, and EtherCat communication networks.
• Must be able to meet time sensitive objectives.
• Ability to carry out work assignments without supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a regular work schedule.
