Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Statistician to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Division of Clinical Research, Biostatistics Research Branch located in Bethesda, MD.

Technical Requirements

• Provide support to DCR’s special projects related to COVID-19
• Plasma Collection Protocol --- to support intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) manufacturing
• IVIG Randomized Control Trials – two protocols
• Observational Trial
• Monoclonal antibody trials
• Sero-survey
• Develop methodology to perform the analysis of the serosurvey data
• Write R functions to perform the analysis
• Perform analyses
• Help with writing applied papers from the data set
• Write methodologic papers so that the applied papers can reference the methods

Specific Qualifications

• All support positions required a minimum of a BS degree; some require a MS, MD, or Ph.D.
• The education, skills and relevant years of experience required for each support position are consistent with those identified as the minimum requirements for the labor categories specified in the contract.
• Prior NIH clinical research experience within the last 5 years.
• Exceptional communication skills both oral and written.
• High-level organizational skills and ability to focus on detail.
• Experience in survey methodology and analysis of survey data.
• Experience analyzing sero-survey data that was collected using quota sampling methodology.
• Performed theoretical and applied research to construct kernel smooth pseudoweights for nonprobability samples to improve external validity of epidemiological analyses.
• Previous experience in analyzing SARS-CoV-2 serology data.
