AXL Advanced is a local tactical gear design and manufacturing company seeking motivated laser cutting operators to join our team.

We are rapidly expanding and looking for someone to grow with us!

Location : Wylie, TX

Duties

• Responsible for operating & maintaining CO2 Laser cutters, cutting provided lists of materials that will then be bundled together by part numbers and handed off to the sewing team.
• Performing in-line quality control of the cut materials and will be responsible for the accuracy of all cutting operations, as well as keeping material waste low.
• Use of a laser cutter, hot / cold automated webbing and narrow trim cutter, and scissors will be part of the job.
• Working with nylon fabrics, webbing, hook and loop Velcro, cords, composites, laminates, and various other types of textiles.
• Materials inventory management and notifying the purchasing manager when material supplies are running low.
• We are looking for someone with attention to detail who is organized, can follow directions, and identify issues before they become a problem.
• Maintain work areas and equipment.
• Assist with other tasks as needed and identified by management.

Ideal Candidate :

• 1 Year experience with C02 Laser cutters
• Apparel industry cut room experience, and textile materials knowledge are a plus.
• Knowledge of importing DXF files into laser cutters and laser cutting control software (Lightburn, RDworks, etc).
• Big plus if you know Autcad, Autocad LT, Fusion360, or similar CAD programs.

• Must be comfortable working around firearms and military gear

Additional Skills we are looking for (Not Required, however a big plus if you have them) :

• Speak and write in Spanish fluently
• Knowledge of Materials, Nylon Gear & Sewing are a Big Plus : Different types of nylon fabrics, webbing, elastics, velcro, camo patterns, plate carriers, pouches, packs, industrial sewing machines, etc.
• Experience in a production sewing environment (apparel, back packs, pouches, purses, bags, outdoor gear, etc).
• Sewing on an industrial sewing machine
• Military Veteran and / or First Responder
• Software Programs : Lightburn, RDWorks, Microsoft Office programs (email, Word, and excel) or similar google app versions.
• Experience with firearms, airsoft, milsim magfed paintball, etc.

Compensation / Job Advantages :

• Work in a comfortable heated and air-conditioned facility
• Starting wage of $14.00 to $20.00 per hour : based on your knowledge and experience

Positions Available :

• Full-time : Day shift available (9am-5pm)
• Part-Time : Afternoon, Nights, Weekends (Work with School Schedules).
• Job Type : Full-time and Part-time
