Underground/Civil Crew for AEP South Texas
We are currently seeking a Foreman, two Equipment Operators, and a Helper
Position Overviews
Foreman-Run the Day to Day Operation for any Civil Job Provided by Customer
Equipment Operator- will be expected to safely perform all associated tasks with the construction and maintenance of all underground facilities. Operator must be able to follow State laws on Digging. They must be able
Helpers- Be able to assist the Operators to get the Civil Job done in a timely manner
Duties

· Foreman- Has worked in the line industry for at least 3 years

· Foreman-Must be able to conduct a Job Task Safety Analysis (JSA) as required

· Foreman & Equipment Operator-Perform work in a safe manner on Utilizing URD Equipment

· Be able to follow blue Prints and Schematics provided by Customer

· Has the ability to troubleshoot problems on any under ground Civil Project

· Understands procedures to safely dig holes and Trenches in the presence of underground utilities

· Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold Climates

· Understands minimum approach distances

· Capable of properly inspecting rubber goods, cover materials, and PPE

· Has the skill sets to safely operate a Backhoe, Mini Excavator, Trencher, and associated Equipment to Trenching

· Inspects, maintains company equipment, and trucks in safe working order

· Experienced to identify URD primary and secondary voltage on a circuit near trenching area

· Understands safe heavy lifting and rigging procedures

. Must be able to Travel, and may work weekends if Project is deemed necessary

. Work area will consist of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana Region
Other Requirements:

·Must have a class A CDL

·Must be able to work long hours

·Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds unassisted

.Expected to work outside frequently in all weather conditions

.Must be able to travel at short notice depending on customers’ deadlines
