This is a part time position at our Grand Forks, ND location.
The Phlebotomist's primary purpose is to effectivelycollect samples throughout clinical research trials. The Phlebotomist will demonstrate precision inblood sampling collection and have the ability to multi-task during studyconduct. The Phlebotomist will assist inthe conduct of clinical trials to ensure protocol activities are completed anddeviations from the protocol are minimized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to communicate clearly and preciselywith AXIS Clinicals staff and subjects regarding study tasks and completeresponsibilities in a timely manner.Assist in carrying out activities listed in thestudy protocol and accurately document study data or use electronic capturesystem. Comfortable working with the general public. Assist in distribution of meals and fluids tostudy subjects. Carry out check in activities such asbreathalyzer tests, bag check, and other study protocols. Monitoring subject safety in clinical trials andassist in escorting subjects after dosing. Demonstrate proficiency in: Blood and urine collection, blood and urineprocessing, vital sign collection, electrocardiogram (ECG) collection, andaccurately documenting study data. Assist in study conduct to ensure all activitiesare completed and deviations from the protocol are minimized. Assist with participant screenings prior toclinical studies as needed. Demonstrates good customer service skills topromote the retention of study participants.
Skills andqualifications: Must be self-motivated and able to respond tourgent needs of the clinical team. Excellent customer service and communicationskills. Have a flexible work schedule and able to workaccording to the needs of study participants. Exhibits good computer skills and able to learnnew technology as needed. Ability to read, write, and interpret theEnglish language.
Previous Experience: Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
